Leads & CRM

Leads vs bookings

When to use contact forms vs the booking scheduler.

NurtureSite sites support both lead capture forms and online booking. Use the right tool for each job.

Contact or quote form → Lead

Best for:

  • Open-ended questions
  • Project quotes without a fixed time slot
  • “Contact us” messages
  • File uploads or custom fields (where configured)

Creates a lead in CRM and NurtureSite dashboard with email alert.

Booking scheduler → Appointment

Best for:

  • Consultations with a defined duration
  • Service calls at scheduled times
  • Classes or sessions with capacity
  • Deposits to reduce no-shows

Creates an appointment in the scheduling system. May also log CRM activity if email matches a lead.

After the job (or for custom work), you can send a customer invoice from the appointment or a CRM lead. See Stripe Connect, deposits, and invoices.

Use both

Many businesses use:

  • Booking for standard appointments
  • Contact form for everything else

Example: A dentist books cleanings online but uses a contact form for insurance questions.

Analytics

  • Form submits track as lead/conversion goals
  • Confirmed bookings track as appointment_booked (and appointment_paid with deposits)

Do not duplicate

Avoid asking for “preferred date” on a contact form when you already offer online booking for that service—pick one path to reduce confusion.
