Pricing, checkout links, and payouts

Set retail pricing, share guest checkout links, and change a paid site's monthly price.

Set upfront and monthly hosting retail amounts on each site. The pricing screen shows a payout preview using your commission terms.

After you generate a link, send it to your client. They pay through a secure guest checkout page — no NurtureSite login required.

  • Copy or email the link any time before it is paid. The site page shows the unpaid link with a Copy link button and an Email this link to the client button. The email goes to the client's email address on file, names your agency, and replies go to your support email (set it in Settings). Links created before this feature was added can't be shown again; create a new link if you need one to send.
  • Cancel a link you no longer want paid. Cancel link on the site page makes the link stop working right away and closes any checkout your client already had open from it.
  • A new link replaces the old one. Creating a link for a site voids any earlier unpaid link for that site, and closes a checkout the client may have already opened from it, so only your newest price can be paid.
  • Links expire after 30 days if unpaid. The site page shows whether the link is awaiting payment, paid, expired, replaced, or cancelled.
  • Once a site is paid, no new link can be created. The client's subscription is already set up; change its monthly price on the pricing screen instead (see below).
  • A site NurtureSite has suspended can't be sold. You can't create a link for it, and its unpaid link stops working until the site is unsuspended.
  • After paying, your client sees a payment confirmation on the same link, and you get an email. The site goes live on its paid plan automatically.
  • Your branding. The pay page and the emails your clients get show your logo, agency name and accent color (set them under Settings → Client branding), with a small "Payments by NurtureSite" line. Your clients' sites carry it too: their site admin and login screens show your name, logo and color, and preview pages name your agency. If a client leaves you, their site goes back to NurtureSite's own look.
  • Send links from your own domain. Under Domain (shown once the feature is turned on) you can serve pay and login (claim) pages on your own hostname, such as clients.youragency.com: add the TXT record and a CNAME to factory-edge.nurturesite.com that the page shows (if your DNS is on Cloudflare, set the CNAME to DNS only, grey cloud), then Check now. Once it is active, new links use your domain; links you already sent keep working where they were sent.

What your client agrees to

Your client buys hosting from NurtureSite at the price you set. Before they continue to payment, the pay page asks them to accept the NurtureSite Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy, and tells them that:

  • hosting renews every month until cancelled, and they can cancel from their own NurtureSite login (they get an email to set it up after paying) or by contacting you or NurtureSite support;
  • AI-assisted edits beyond any included credits are billed as usage on their monthly invoice (when usage billing is on);
  • sales tax is added at checkout where it applies (when tax collection is on).

Changing the price of a paid site

Once your client has paid, the site's pricing screen shows the current monthly price and a New monthly price form instead of the checkout link form. The setup price can't change after payment.

  • No new link, no new subscription. The client's existing subscription moves to the new price straight away, with the same payment method.
  • Prorated. The client's next invoice includes an adjustment for the rest of the current billing period: a credit for the unused days at the old price and a charge for the same days at the new price. From the following period they pay the new price.
  • Your client is emailed. The email names your agency, the old and new monthly price, the date the change took effect and the prorated adjustment. Replies go to your support email (set it in Settings). It goes to the client's NurtureSite login email if they have set one up, otherwise to the client's email on file. You get a confirmation email too.
  • Commission follows the new price. Your hosting share is worked out on what the client actually pays for hosting from the next invoice on, including the prorated adjustment.
  • History. Every change is listed under Price changes on the pricing screen, with who made it.
  • The same floor applies. The new monthly price must be at least the platform minimum (below).
  • When it can't be changed. Sites NurtureSite has suspended or cancelled, clients that have left your partner account, sites without an active subscription, and subscriptions set to end (your client cancelled, or NurtureSite scheduled the end of their term) keep their price. If Stripe refuses the change, nothing is changed and the pricing screen shows Stripe's reason; if Stripe doesn't answer, try again in a few minutes.

You can also change the price with the Partner API (POST /api/partner/v1/sites/{uuid}/price).

Requirements

  • Complete Stripe Connect onboarding before creating checkout links.
  • Upfront retail must be at least $75, and never below your platform setup fee.
  • Monthly hosting must be at least $29/mo (the platform minimum).

Payout timing

Commissions are paid via Stripe Connect transfers when invoices are paid. Upfront and first-month hosting commissions are processed on the first invoice. Renewals pay hosting and AI commissions on each paid invoice.

If your payout account isn't ready when a client pays, the commission is recorded as owed and paid automatically once Stripe enables payouts on your account. Refunds take back the matching share of commission.
